Art projects
The cultural site Wintringer Chapel stands for a mission statement to use the special features of the medieval building, its poetic power and its changeful history for the development of a cultural place of the present in the region of Saarbrücken in the biosphere reserve Bliesgau.
In an annual rhythm - per annum - an art project is realized on the basis of this mission statement at the cultural site Wintringer Chapel. Content basis of the annual projects is the basic idea recorded in the documentation Book of Hours. According to this, the place is comprehensible as an assembly of quotations. They are coded in the past and can be interpreted through an independent artistic attitude related to the present. Against this background, per annum is about a mindful and serious artistic work with the place also in the context of the specific cultural landscape in which he is embedded today.
