Invitation to the exhibition WRITE THE FUTURE
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 3 p.m., the great artist Monika Schrickel will be remembered at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site and her work "Zukunft Schreiben II" will be presented and discussed as part of a moderated local discussion.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Fröhlich
The ART INCLUSIVE initiative is supported by Prof. Dr. Andreas Fröhlich, who is known throughout Germany for his curative education concept of basal stimulation and has repeatedly launched his own art projects. His groundbreaking research results and findings on this topic have become an integral part of work with severely disabled people.
Andreas Fröhlich was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and the Golden Badge of Honor of the German Professional Association for Nursing. He has been involved in the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site several times with lectures and advice.
His latest publication "Art for all, inclusive art" corresponds directly with the KUNSTINKLUSIV project that took place on site in 2023.

The Munich artist and sculptor Hermann Bigelmayr died on April 2, 2024. In 2011, he created an installation entitled "Limits to Growth", a metaphor that significantly shapes the cultural and artistic guiding principle at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site: a sprouting sky. stalk of wheat, which describes the irrepressible life force of nature, which, however, is strained to its limits by unreflected growth thinking, and only through sustainable ways of life can humanity have a future. Throughout his life, Hermann Bigelmayr has demonstrated his deep rootedness in nature. His works push the boundaries of what can be said and are thought-provoking movements about man's search for what constitutes the "good life".
In Hermann Bigelmayr we have lost a gifted artist who, through his art, was able to visualize the view of the surrounding world from within, but above all a very good friend and humorous and witty companion...

Advance notice: Exhibition WRITE THE FUTURE
From June 21, 2024, the Cultural site Wintringer Chapel will be showing a work entitled "Write the Future", which the artist Monika Schrickel created especially for the site in 2003 to kick off the art projects that have followed every year since then. At the time, curator Peter Michael Lupp was able to persuade the artist to develop a work based on her intention "Open book. Book projects" for the formerly monastic site in order to create a connection between time and space. Since then, the vision of writing a future worth living through the signs of art has become the guiding principle of the Cultural site Wintringer Chapel. This impulse has run like a red thread through 20 years of cultural work in the former medieval priory church and has been reflected in a wide variety of artistic reflections.
Reason enough, in the anniversary year 2024, to remember how it all began in 2003/2004 and to pay tribute to the painter Monika Schrickel (1940-2022), who was one of the most important female artists in Saarland, with a renewed presence of her work. The aim is to incorporate her poetic work into a contemporary artistic discourse that deals with the current issues of society and its ability to "write" - in the sense of shape - a sustainable future.
In the run-up to the event, a selection of the artist's works will be on display at the gallery in Kleinblittersdorf town hall, which traces her artistic career and has been carefully compiled by her son Ralph Schrickel.
The exhibition of the work "Write the Future" at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural site is also a contribution to this year's celebration of the Bliesgau UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which will take place in Kleinblittersdorf on June 30, 2024.
VHS events 2024
This year, as part of cultural education for sustainable development, several events with Peter Michael Lupp, curator of the Wintringer Chapel, will once again be offered in cooperation with the adult education center of the Saarbrücken Regional Association.
