Inauguration waymark Schweigen-Rechtenbach
On Whit Monday, May 21, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Protestant church in Schweigen, a “waymark” - a stone scallop shell - and an accompanying information board will be inaugurated.

10:45 a.m. Presentation of the European model project in the context of a pictorial lecture by Peter Michael Lupp (project leader) in the church
11:15 Official inauguration of the stone scallop shell and the information sign with pastor Margret Lingenfelder and the local mayor Dieter Geisser.
You are also welcome to arrive as early as 9:30 a.m. at the sign in the vineyards at the entrance to Schweigen from Wissembourg, where the official marked route of the pilgrims of St. James indicates that it is still 2,417 km to Santiago de Compostella from here.
From there, together with pilgrims from Alsace, we want to make a short pilgrimage along the “Way along the Stars of Europe” to the medieval church in Schweigen.
